Sustainable fashion woven in Terrassa
FOLGAROLAS TEXTIL S.A., a family business whose history dates back to 1935, has established itself as a leader in the production of high-quality fabrics, combining tradition with a strong commitment to sustainability and local sourcing.<br>The textile legacy began in Sabadell with Mr. Guillermo Duffour y Albi, the great-grandfather of the current CEO.<br>In 1952, a new company was founded under the name FOLGAROLAS TEXTIL, coinciding with the opening of the warping and weaving mill in the village of Folgueroles.<br>After a severe crisis due to the liberalization of the textile sector in the 1980s, the mill had to close and is now a designated 20th-century Contemporary Cultural Heritage site.<br>In 2022, Pepe Garcia Balagué spearheaded the reindustrialization process, reviving the company's production roots at its headquarters in Terrassa. Today, FOLGAROLAS TEXTIL designs and produces high-quality fabric collections, maintaining a strong connection to the textile tradition that was so important in the region decades ago. Their fabrics have been worn by internationally renowned figures such as Victoria Beckham and Queen Letizia of Spain. Their clients range from international brands to designers. The company combines great creative capacity with the resilience that has characterized it since its inception.
